My husband ordered a 34" zero turn cub cadet from them. He payed more than a 40". We got it late. Put gas in and hooked up the battery. It mowed but it left long grass in spots. Very inconsistent. I contacted mowers direct and they blew me off. Said it wasn't their problem. So we decided to take it to a local store that was a cub cadet dealership. We had to jumpstart the battery just to get it on the trailer. They said the mower was over a year old, the blades were shot, and the battery was junk. Mower direct should be put out of business. I am contacting the better business bureau and asking our lawyer to look into legal action about them!
I GOT A NEW SNAPPER. IN ORDER FOR YOU TO TEST IT, YOU HAVE TO PUT OIL AND GAS IN IT, RIGHT? THE FLYWHEEL CLICKS. I CALLED BRIGGS & STRATTON AND THEY SAID RETURN IT. BUT MOWERS DIRECT STATES ONCE YOU OIL AND GAS IT, YOU CANNOT RETURN IT! NOW I AM STUCK WITH A $500.00 DEFECTIVE ENGINE LAWN MOWER! I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT REVIEWS BEFORE I BOUGHT FROM THESE SCAMMERS.

This company is shady and they raised the price on me as I was paying by 200.00 then were late to ship after confirming delivery after taking a day off work the delivery company informs me mowers direct were late putting on the truck so I lost two days pay as well.
I purchased an xt1 sleeve hitch on their website. I was sent an xt3 sleeve hitch. $302 with shipping. Instead of making it right and swapping the two, I have to pay $40 for shipping back, pay 25% restocking fee, get refunded 75% and buy another. What a joke. I should have used Amazon. Do NOT buy anything associated with Mowers Direct. Cub Cadet needs to find a new distributor.
Ordered an Agri-Fab core aerator from Mowers Direct that was listed as "In stock, ready to ship" and paid via credit card. I was immediately thanked for my order, followed shortly by another email explaining that my order would be delayed 2 weeks due to multiple factors beyond their control. That email was soon followed up by another stating an ADDITIONAL 2 weeks would be necessary for them to ship an item that was IN STOCK, READY TO SHIP. This is, IMHO, deceptive advertising. Buyer Beware.
I purchased a cub cadet online from mowers direct. I needed service 2 times for warranty issues. No one will touch the mower for 7 to 8 weeks. The local repair quys do not want to touch it. Your better off paying a few dollars more and being able to have it serviced. I even offered to fix myself, but they will not give me the parts. Buy local!
I purchased string trimmer from Mowers Direct. They offered a free shipping. I paid the price plus sales tax. It was a wrong item and I returned it back. I paid $249.99 plus 15.62 tax, the refund I received is $ 232.24. They explained what they not returning the money shipping ( shipping was free). Stay away from this company!
I have been on hold for over 20 minutes to try to buy a $3,000.00 mower. Sales; on hold for 20 minutes? I've decided to heed the warnings of all the other poor reviews and shop elsewhere. When a representative finally came on the line and we talked about delivery? "Will you need some help getting it off of the truck?" Me - "Doesn't the truck come with a lift gate?" Rep - "Yes, but that'll cost you another $50.00" STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY
This site states this product is in stock and ships in 2-4 days. It stated that on 11-09-200 as well.
Here it is on 12-18-20 and still not shipped!
Every two weeks I contact them and they state it will ship in a couple more weeks.
Same thing happened this summer when I purchased a hoover mower, I should have learned my lesson.
Very unsatisfied customer.
Had a problem, which I believe is something simple, on a 2 month old Honda walk behind mower that has been used maybe half a dozen time. Called up and was told can offer no assistance in troubleshooting. Like none, zero. Told that I could take to a local service center, which happens to be the shop I will purchase a mower at next time. Don't waste your money here, buy local.
In September 2020, I purchased a Cub Cadet self propelled SC-300-IP 159cc lawn mower for 369.99 plus tax. Shipment was received in about ten days with no obvious defects. Unfortunately, I moved and did not unpack and assemble the lawn mower until early October. I noticed the gas cap and one small metal screw were missing. I contacted MD and they advised the parts would be ordered and delivered to my new address asap. Waited for two weeks before receiving confirmation the part was ordered and they shipped it to my old address. New homeowner denies receiving the parts. MD admittted their error and said a new order was completed. Late October contacted them and they advised the part would arrive 11/02/2020. Nothing arrived. Also noticed I never received the Cub Cadet confirmation as emailed with the first order. MD advised, that was unnecessary as this was a priority order. Guaranteed it would arrive 11/05/2020. It never arrived. Emailed the company again with no response. I will end up spending $25.00 for the part and shipping available on the Cub Cadet site. Of course, if I was aware of getting jerked around by MD, I would have returned the mower, or ordered a gas cap in October. They are very nice on the telephone, but completely incompetent. Totally upset with the customer no- service received from Mowers Direct. I like the Cub Cadet product and should have gone to Lowes or Home Depot. Buyer beware. They suck.
I purchased a Toro zero turn mower and three accessory parts. All but one item was in stock. They held up the shipping on the mower because the one part was on backorder. The part was on backorder for three weeks. The parts were being shipped buy another company but held up for the backorder on one part. I was on the phone 45 minutes due to abnormal amount of phone calls. I tried calling on two different days same results both times. I found out that the local Toro dealer was the same price, including delivery and assembly. The dealer had everything in stock.
If I could give this zero start I would. We ordered a Mulching Kit Model #139-3265 from Mowers Direct. Did you know that the picture shown is just a generic picture. It doesn't say this anywhere on the site. The pictures shows three blades, a bafflers and two other parts that I am unsure of the correct name. Needless to say we were missing parts. When I called the company, they told me that the picture was a an old picture. After a conversation with their parts expert, we were informed that this kit was the wrong kit and the right kit was on backorder. To show items that you will not receive is bad business and horrible representation. After we requested a refund they told us that we had to pay to ship the wrong product back to them. Total waste of time, I will never shop there again! Beware.
Purchased brand new Echo PE 225 Edger [email protected]. Unit arrived on 9/14/20. Prepped it and on third pull of starter rope the engine locked down and won't budge. Total junk. Forget about calling customer service. I was on hold for more than 35 minutes and finally hang up. No way to get through to the company. I'm stuck with a piece of junk and the worst service ever. Stick with Home Depot. Their edgers work and their customer service really does serve the customer. Be warned of these scammers.
